Students Stressed Out By NSO

JRC – First-year Greg Stephens is currently overwhelmed by the amount of NSO activities.

“I’ve already had three panic attacks. How does Grinnell expect me to keep up with this work load?” asked Stephens.

“Just today I’ve had to go to three forums on the meaning of self-government as well as two floor bonding sessions and a bakery run.”

There are countless others who are facing the same problems as Stephens. Denver native Trish Sullivan has been up three straight nights due to various NSO activities.

“I’ve been forced to take Adderall to get through all these ice breakers. I don’t think I can handle remembering the names of all eight of my floormates.”

Sullivan and Stephens still have another self-gov workshop and a seminar on trusting the administration.

Stephens later said, “I just want classes to start so I can rest.”
