Coach A Refuses To Be Quoted In B&S

JRC- An anonymous source reports that Head Men's Basketball Coach David Arseneault has made it clear to his family, players, and coworkers that he does not wish to be quoted in the B&S, the alternative campus newspaper known for falsely quoting authority figures at Grinnell College.

The demand to not be quoted allegedly came after Coach A, who has coached at Grinnell for twenty seasons and helped change the game of basketball with his patented “System” strategy, read the newspaper's February issue on an away trip, which featured made-up quotes from all sorts of administrators and staff. Assistant coach and son David N. Arseneault '09 explained, “I think Coach A has been quoted a lot over the years in more 'respectable' publications than the B&S, and so he might be disillusioned by the idea that someone can just make up a quote of his. He knows one of his players writes for the paper, and he hopes that player will respect his wishes.”

Coach A was not available to not be available for comment.
